pictured here is Edison's first successful design, employing a
carbonzed cotton filament it an evacuated glass enclosure. the
light, along with similar bulbs all around the home and laboratory, are
never turned off. they are still burning after almost 100
years

this dark photo below is of the interior of Edison's home in Ft.
Myers. the dim lights in the dining room chandelier have been
burning since 1927.

the three views below are taken inside Thom. Edison's laboratory in Ft.
Myers, where he worked every day until his death is 1931.

where he had a tiny cot set up for 'naps'. Edison rarely slept.
